hi i was told almost 2 years ago that i had ibs and my pain comes and goes all the time..sometimes the pain is really bad and sometiimes its hardly noticabe...i get the pain in the same spot as u do...as far as i know there is no cure for ibs and all u can do is stay away from trigger foods, such as alcohol, caffeine, fatty foods, chocolate etc...some of them may or may not bother u, excercise, don't smoke, and try not to get too stressed out as that can trigger the symptoms too..hope u feel better
ibs can cause colic type pain all accross the digestive track lower right and more commonly lower-upper left.like loalbert said gas can move around, i think dont quote me sugar and water is good for trapped wind. i dont think there is no cure for ibs at the moment i think everybody presents in different forms and may have other underlying conditions that affect or esclate the condition
saying that ibs can be managed through diet good excirese {something you enjoy} and not getting too stressed about it,if that was all to easy yeah
hope u feel better soon
For your first question I think it's possible because I get those pains....sometimes i wonder if it's just gas or something else. But pain can go up to above your rib cage. For your second question I don't know if the chewables are good, but I personnally don't like Pepto bismol.
I don't know any cure for IBS, theres only things you can do manage your symptoms.
Good Luck.
