Kidney lesion

Due to gastro problems I was having, MRI and CT scan were done.  Those tests detected a lesion on my left kidney. Was eventually referred to a Urologist who ordered an ultrasound. She was NOT happy with the way the test was done or the radiology report.  She wanted another one done in 3 mos.  She has since left that group. I made an appt myself with a urologist I had seen years ago. He ordered another ultrasound to be done in 3 mos, which I had done today.
The other reports stated this spot was 9 mm in size.
I went to a new radiology site to have the test done today and took the other reports in for the radiologist to see from the past tests.
The test was done and then he came in and had her do it again and viewed it himself.  He felt that is it very small and has not grown in a year since it was first detected.  His feeling was that, if it were malignant, it would have grown in size by now and said probably nothing to worry about He will send a report to my doctor, whom I see next week.
Was wondering if all this sounds reasonable.  I have not been well but does not seem to be related to any kidney problems.
Would appreciate some feedback.
thanks

Thank you.  I had no kidney symptoms that I am aware of. I had been having GI problems and this lesion was picked up on an MRI a year ago then on a CT scan and I was referred to a urologist.  He ordered this ultrasound to be done 3 months from when I saw him.  I have an appt to see him next week.

Some of my labs were off.  GI doc is monitoring my Alk Phos.  Last test was 144 down from 163.  My Endo doc said it was from the bone.  GI doc says it is from the liver, mentioned autoimmune hepatitis.  I doubt that but get tested again in Dec.

I have been dealing with chronic dry mouth and throat, hacking up mucus and occasional nausea.  Now in therapy for low back and hip pain.

They don't know what to do with me. :-(

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
What are the symptoms present? Monitoring, regular imaging studies or watchful waiting are usually indicated for such lesions. If there is no change size, then it is not a cause of worry. However, it would still be best to discuss the results with your attending physician for proper evaluation. Other factors such as the symptoms present, results of other diagnostic tests and medical history are also important considerations. Take care and do keep us posted.
