Hi,
How are you? How was your appointment with the nephrologist? Usually MRI findings are given together with the plates or at least the doctor who requested it explains the result during follow-up. It would be difficult for me to tell you a definite diagnosis with out physical examination and a copy of the MRI plates. What you can do is to bring the MRI plates and all other tests done (IVP, blood and urine tests) to the nephrologist for proper evaluation. Take care always and God bless. Do keep us posted.
i have just received a photo from a MRI that was taken back in march at my local hospital...the dark mass is where my pain is coming from ..can you tell me what that is? thanks and God Bless John
Hi thats what i thought...they keep telling me that i should be fine..i found out thru Dr. Jaffe at UPMC in Pittsburgh..that i need to see a Renal Nephrologist and have a appointment at Cleveland Clinic on Thursday..thanks again and God Bless John..thanks
How are you? it is good that your MRI and IVP are normal ruling out problems with your body structures. An MRA can find problems with the blood vessels that may be causing reduced blood flow. With MRA, both the blood flow and the condition of the blood vessel walls going to your kidneys can be seen. Though it is more expensive, it will provide information that cannot be obtained from an X-ray, ultrasound, or CT scan.
Take care and keep us posted.
