kidney stones and stents

Is it normal to have kidney stones hurt in the kidney before they move to the ureter? Is it normal to have extreme pain in the ureter and in the bladder from a stent? I have been to three urologists in the last 5 weeks and nobody will give me answers. please help

OMG  EXTREME PAIN WITH STENTS IS NOT THE WORD!!! WHEN I GET STENTS THEY HAVE TO PUT ME ON A MORPHINE MACHINE TILL THEY REMOVE THEM GOOD LUCK

yes it is normal to have severe pain from a sten i have had 5 stents and all of them caused extreme discomfort. I'm glad to hear that i;m not the only one experiencing pain in the kidneys from forming stones luckily I have a wonderful urologist if I were u i would find me a new one.
