Confused about liver count???????

My liver issues started when I was 18 back in 2000, I had gained alot of weight after having my 1st daughter at 16. I started taking the depo pro vera shot for birth control and went  to have a normal check up and got a call that I had elevated liver enzymes. They had came back at 170 and 135 so I was referred to a specialist. He ran alot of test and came back and said that I had a fatty liver and would need to lose weight. I pretty much kinda ignored his suggestion and had another child about 2 years later and during that time my liver count would go up and down. Then for the last 5 years or so nothing had really changed. I had to have my gall bladder removed in March 2008 and then I went to beach in June 2008 when I came back I became very sick. I started having major pains at the top of my stomach little to the right side kinda like knives sticking in me, so I finally had to go to the ER i was there for about 5 hrs waiting for blood work to come back without the doc giving me anything for the horrible pain I was in, well when the doc finally came back in she jumped all over me accused me over being a druggie and trying to kill myself because my liver count was 880 and 790 she wouldnt give me anything for the pain I was in and told me to go see my gastro ASAP. I called my gastro and he couldnt get me in for 2 weeks so I called another gastro that i had never seen before and made an appt about 2 days later i had turned yellow my eyes, skin, urine was orange and stool had changed color, I went back to ER again they didnt know what was going on referred me back to doc i was waiting to see my jaundice count was 11 at this time which I guess was pretty high and so within another 3 days I was itching majorly bad, still yellow and hurting horribly, honestly i thought i was dying and finally when i got in to see the gastro  he ran all the test my normal gastro had ran before and everything came back normal so within this 2 week period i went to the ER 3 times and a gastro and never got an answer to what had just happened to me, I just now went back to my reg gastro and he is baffled by all this. Does anyone have a clue to what may have happened to me?

No i am not having jaundice anymore, and i finally got any appt with my reg gastro and he is doing another Liver Panel but everything with the last one showed nothing so i am really not for sure what happened last year but the last gastro said i had just caught a virus (because all the test came back normal) even though i have never heard of anyone getting a virus that would do that to them and then going away, it just worries me that this may happen to me again i thought i was checking out and quickly but thanks for your post. Take care

I'm sorry for what your going through. It definitely seems that you have a liver issue. Are you still showing signs of jaundice? yes or no, you should call your primary care doctors office and have them refer you to another gastroenterologist. For a different opinion and ask for a "Liver Panel", which is a liver function test. It consists of seven tests that are run at the same time on a sample of blood. This will indicate any problems with your liver.
Hope that this helps you.
