Few random thoughts, some perhaps useless:
Liver is not such a small organ, and I'm thinking here, they can't possibly biopsy every part of it to check for abnormalities... Maybe ultrasound first? A biopsy should be avoided at almost any cost.
Hydrocodone, if pure (without paracetamol), is not that liver-unfriendly. Maybe try and drop tramadol. Doesn't the hydrocodone cover all the things tramadol does for you? Unless baclofen is really beneficial, I would drop that as well.
Do you maybe remember what was your diet like before you had your gallbladder removed?
Thanks for the feed back. The pain killers I take are hydrocodone 10-325 up to 4 times a day, tramadol 100mg x 4, and baclofen 20mg up to 3 times. I am taking the GI DR did not seem concerend with any of these meds, as I thought he maybe. I have already had my gallbladder take out about 6 years ago due to gallstones. He did say that it could be something going on with my bile duct since I had gall stones when my gallbladder was taken out.
Any thoughts?
Several years ago I had extremely elevated liver enzymes and was told I either had hepatitis or gallbladder disease. I was pretty certain I didn't have hepatitis, as I've never had a known exposure. I had an Ultrasound, which revealed and confirmed multiple stones in my gallbladder. I had laproscropic surgery to have the gallbladder removed.
Liver has to neutralize absolutely everything that's not used for nutrition by the body. Some substances are particulary burdensome on the liver, metformin being such. Pain killers also. What type of pain meds are you taking?
Another substance a liver particularly dislikes are pesticides and herbicides which are sprayed on all the fruit and veggies you buy in a supermarket. Especially strawberries and peaches...
