fibroscan
shelly10983
does anyone know where to get a fibroscan in the US. I heard this is a good alternative to a liver biopsy which I hear is very painful. Also, do you know the criteria for getting a fibroscan?
thanks - any help would be great for my friend.

I agree w/Mike. Biopsy was painless - not even a drop of blood. The Fibroscan (direct) offer is a great one though - and much cheaper than a biopsy -

Generally liver biopsies are not at all painful. I have had a bunch of them and none were any big deal.
I believe there is a Fibroscan in LA.
Good luck,
Mike
