Liver counts

I am a male construction worker.  I am 5"11" tall and weight 160.  I am very active and exercise in addition to work daily.  I do not smoke.  My doctor does have me on benicar and viporin.  These are for what he said are slightly elevated blood pressure and cholestrel.  Now he said my blood tests came back with an lft of 45 and an aft of 34.  He said I need to stop drinking for 2 months and take these tests again for my liver.  He isn't explaining to me what this all means or what is going on.  Just to stop drinking and retake the blood work.  Can these drugs cause damage to your liver?  Are there other high blood pressure meds I could take that wouldn't hurt the liver?   Isn't Viporin for both blood pressure and cholesral???    What do these counts mean?  How bad are they??

Your counts dont look to high,Stoping drinking is always a good thing for the liver and your doctor would be trying to see if the elavated counts are due to drinking or anouther cause,Don't stress to much ok, Be well
