elevated liver enzymes

I have had an ongoing skin rash for 7 months.  I have seen my doc, allegist, derm.  I recently had a blood test done that showed very high liver enzymes.  I was taking Cymbalta 60mg & topomax 100mg down from 200.  I have taken various rounds of prednisone most have given some relief last  round not at all.  What could be causing this and hat should I ask my doc when I go for appt.?  Help I am scared.

Thank- you your thoughts and kind words.  I have had a hepatitis panel done and it was negative.  Although I do have the splotchy redness on my hands, sleeping and eating problems.  I am going back to my primary doc on the 30th so I should find out more then.  I pray that you are doing well.  Thanks again you are in my toughts and prayers.  Deb

Hi Deb,

I don't want to scare you but rash and elevated liver enzymes could be
symptoms of Hepatitis C, I encourage you to ask your Dr about this, although if he has seen your blood work, I am surprised he hasn't done a Hep Panel already. I hope this information helps and pray that it is not Hepatitis.
I was diagnosed with it and had the same symptoms. Other symptoms are splottchy redness on your hands, sleeping and eating probs etc. Just type in this condition in your web browser and you will find an abundance of information.
Thinking of you and hope all goes well.
