High AST and ALT can mean many things. Try not to worry about worse case senarios. Having been through cancer, hepatitis is very minor not life-threaten issue compared to cancer. Having handled your cancer you are strong and can deal with anything that might come your way.

I have had 2 types of cancer and hepatitis C and have a very serious case of liver disease, cancer and hepatitis now.

When we take about cancer we are taking life and death. Very few of the millions that have hepatitis C have to face their mortality as all cancer patients I know have. Also the good news is that Hepatitis C cure rates are between 70-80% now!!! So even if you have hepatitis C you have a great chance of being cured of it for the rest of your life.

Are you taking and drugs for your cancer or other reasons? Many drugs can injure the liver and raise AST and ALT levels.

Please try to focus on positive things. Most things we all worry about either don't come true or are not as daunting as we imagine.

I am so happy you are in remission. Stay strong and be well. As I am sure you know from living with cancer, live in the here and now, take life one day at a time. Enjoy. Don't let elevated liver enzymes ruin your day. Life is too precious and hepatitis C is a curable disease.

You are stronger than you know.
