estrace

Hello, I am new here to this forum, and looking forward to learning all I can from you all.

I would appreciate any experience and wisdom and research that you would care to share with me on this question.

I have had thyroid problems, overmedicated, then reduced. Continued to have symptoms. Friend told me this could also be the beginning of peri menopause. I am 45 years young. Went to the dr, told him my last FSH from March was 18. Could this still be related as results are normal. He said he did not go by those results necessarily. Told me to take estrace 0.5 mg, keep a diary of how I am responding and return in a month.

I guess, I am wondering whether to give it a try or just wait to see if the thyroid meds can get to a normal level. Any feedback is greatly welcomed.

If you still have your uterus you need to take progesterone as well. Did you try the Estrace? It is a good idea to keep a journal if you do. I also think that the thyroid could be causing problems similar to menopause.
I wish you well,
Teresa

I read somewhere that if a woman still has her uterus, she does not need to take just estrogen alone. Anybody else taking estrogen only with their uterus still intact?
