is this the start?

I am nearly 47 for years have had night sweats on the day before my period occassionally lately had hot flushes as well and other menopausal symptoms.I looked at my period dates and they have been all irregular for 12months, 21 days apart, 32 days apart back to 22 days apart, and also sometimes going for 11 days straight or only going for 4 days. Usually have 2 days of floods as well.Anyway I was due 10days ago and no sign of any bleeding but have had belly and bloating cramps for over a week. My husband had a vasectomy 10yrs ago so I assume it cant reverse itself.Do I need a doctor or just wait?I feel ok apart from the belly aches.I have been using a nasal spray on and off for sinus congestion and read somewhere steroid sprays can throw out the hormone levels.Anyone with advice?

Yes thanks still no sign of the periods 15days late now and my doctor isnt in till Tuesday so if still nothing by then I will pop in for a talk and check over,I did go buy a test just to check incase by some mirical I was pregnant and it was as expected negative. That was a huge relief as me and the husband do not want children at this age we are waiting for our teen to grow up and leave the nest.Anyway thanks for your advice.

HI,
Hot flashes and irregular periods can be because of declining hormones caused by advancing age. If you do not get your periods within a few days, you should check out with your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
