Anyone have anything similar

I have had lower back pain for over a year. In May I had a urinalysis done and it showed I had blood in my urine but no bacteria or pus. My doctor retested me in September and once again it showed blood in my urine but no bacteria. He ordered a cat scan with and without the dye, it showed nothing abnormal. He was thinking kidney stones but nothing showed up. I know have an appointment with a urologist but it took over 2-months to get into him. Recently it seems I have had joint pain in my wrists , elbows and shoulders, not sure if that is a symptom but I was just wondering if anyone else has had something like this. A friend of mine also had something similar and his urologist told him he had some sort of cyst on his kidney that was causing his bleeding. In time it cleared up, he also had back pain. I was also tested at the health dept for chlamydia and gonorrhea but those tests came back negative as well.  Also tested for hiv and was also negative.

I don't have a cyst, at least they told me the cat scan was clear. It was a friend of mine that had a cyst. Being a bi male the first I thought of was some sort of STD. This has gone on for over a year and a half. When i first got symptoms I was tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea at the health dept. thru a urinalysis, it came up negative for both. I have had no discharge from my penis at all but i have had a slight burning sensation at times when i urinate, usually just at first. Mostly it has been lower back pain and then the finding of blood in my urine. Just curious to see if anyone else has had this. I have an appointment with a urologist but it is stil a couple weeks away, just a little anxious to see what it could be. The cat scan showed no kidney stones but I have read that if the stones are 3mm or smaller they may not show up. I had both with and without contrast in the cat scan. My doctor thought for sure stones would have shown up.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello there,
The cause of simple kidney cysts is not known. The common cause is obstruction of tubules or deficiency of blood supply to the kidneys. Treatment is not needed for simple kidney cysts and then should be monitored with periodic ultrasounds. Symptomatic kidney cysts can be treated by sclerotherapy. If the cyst is large, surgery may be needed. Joint pains can be due to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout or any other condition. A complete medical evaluation is necessary for correct diagnosis and management. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. Hope it helps.
Best wishes and regards!
