Can I take 50mg of Sumatriptan with 20mg of amitriptyline?

I started taking Amitriptyline 11 days ago. I now take 20mg a night.
Yesterday a migraine started and it won't go away now.
I have 50mg Sumatriptan tablets.
Is it safe to take one 50mg SUMATRIPTAN with 20mg Amitriptyline just this once?

I am not a doctor. But my neurologist prescribed both 10 mg of Amitriptyline and Imitrex. So I think it should be fine. You can ask a pharmacist or your doctor to make sure. But I am on both of those plus Trokendi XR and Clonazepam.

Thank you.
I'll give it a try or just take 10mg of amitriptyline and 50mg of sumatriptan when I get a migraine, to be on the safe side
You are welcome! I think that some people don't respond to Imitrex. There are others that you can ask your doctor about if that doesn't work.
