constant headache

hi, please advise me....
for the past 7 weeks i have had a terrible headache, it is at the back of my head low down at the top of my neck. it began when i was under a lot of stress and worry but that all sorted itself out 3 weeks ago. if i dont awake with the headache it will come on by lunch time then i have it until i go to bed. moving my head is painful and around the backs of my ears are delicate to touch slightly swollen and hurt. nodding my head causes pain at the top of my neck and in back of the head, all sorts of over the counter tablets may ease it slightly but not a lot. i am healthy as a rule. in general my head feels heavy and feels like my neck cant support it, what could be the cause. 7 weeks is a long time to have a headache every single day all day

ty vm for ur reply, after feeling worse than i first did i took myself off to the doc, he sent me straight to hospital with suspected meningitis or a bleed in the hed, thnak go all tests came back clear, finally they have diadnoised severe neck injury and damage. i've been given 2 lots of meds, so far they are not helping but i amtold its a long slow processs. with any luck i'll feel better withing a month or so. just wanted to update u so other users can be reassured if they present with samr symptoms i had. ty again for you advise

How are you?
I would suggest you to get an ENT exam done to rule out sinusitis and ear infections.
Both these conditions can cause headaches which gets worse on head movements. Other causes like cervical spondylitis also cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile please try steam inhalation and see if it helps.
