Are there any ways I can stop the headaches?

My daughter is seven years old and had encephlitis around Christmas of 2008.  She has experienced severe headaches and slight tremors since then.  Her doctor says there is nothing we can do to help her and the brain damage that she has can worsen if she gets sick with any virus again.  Can you point me in the right direction to help my daughter?

Let the daughter do this pranayam technique everyday. You can also do it with her and feel the benefit. The extra oxygen going into the left and right brain will help her.Come back to report feedback and I will suggest some more techniques.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
This will help anyone, so keep it handy.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How is your daughter? Encephalitis usually refers to brain inflammation resulting from a viral infection. The potentially life-threatening form of this disease is rare and it is said that due to mild symptomatology, actual incidence of encephalitis is probably much higher. Receiving timely treatment is important because the course of the encephalitis is somewhat unpredictable. The best way to prevent viral encephalitis is to avoid the viruses that lead to this disease. Make sure you and your daughter are immunized against viruses that can cause encephalitis, such as chickenpox, measles, mumps and German measles. Check with your neurologist regularly to ensure that encephalitis do not recur and to manage these headaches and tremors.  Take care and do keep us posted.
