Best way to relieve stress related migraines???

Anytime I am under severe exam stress, I suffer from really really BAD headaches. I'm pretty sure they are migraines as my vision becomes blurry, I see weird spots and jumping lines and I am sensitive to light. Basically when they come on all I can do is go to bed, the pain is some of the worst I've ever had. The problem I have is I'm not sure if it's worth going to the doctors for since it only happens during that time so does anyone know of any good pain relief or remedies that do not require a prescription?? Thanks to anyone who replies.

Hello holly_b,
Stress during exam times can be avoided if you study regularly.One can avoid this situation if thorough preparation is done .Last moment preparation often causes stress.If one is conversant with the studies then such anxiety does not create trouble.You should consult a neurologist if you suffer from such headaches .

As I said in my original post it happens during exams. These were my exact words. "Anytime I am under severe exam stress, I suffer from really really BAD headaches".

Your reply was to "avoid events which make you uncomfortable" and to "prevent stressful events to avoid such attacks". Do you suggest I drop out of college rather than face exams and consequently migraines?
Although I thank you for your reply, I can't say that it was helpful. I do have a healthy lifestyle. I never suggested that I didn't.

Your symptoms seem to be due to anxiety  and stress.You should increase your self confidence and avoid events which make you uncomfortable.Meditation will help maintain concentration.Also you can consult a counseller and seek his help.. Tension headaches can also be accompanied by ocular migraines causing such neurological symptoms. It is usually temporary but you need to adapt healthy life style and prevent stressful events to avoid such attacks
