Excruciating, throbbing headache for 48 hours

It started two days ago. I went for a run, I think I may have dehydrated myself. I drank plenty of water after and tried to rest up. My headache came that night. By the morning it was far worse. And 24 hours after that it still has not shown any signs of letting up. Sitting up, standing up, moving around, getting in and out of the car, all these things make me feel as if my head is set to explode. The throbbing is really painful and intense. I've been taking aspirin, paracetamol, codeine and ibuprofen. Nothing seems to stop the pain.
I've been drinking lot's of fluids. I had a light fever on the first night which seemed to pass overnight.
Should I go to the hospital? I'm worried that perhaps this is something more serious? I've never experienced a headache like this before, both in pain and duration.

Hi,
How are you? Exertional headaches are associated with physical activity such as weight lifting, running. coughing, bowel movement or even sexual intercourse. If it persists, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation and management. Though most exertional headaches are benign and are most commonly associated with migraine, imaging studies may be done to rule out organic causes. Take care and do keep us posted.

Thanks very much.
I think it had a lot to do with the exercise and also lifting weights. I think too much heat (it's summer here) may have also played a part.
I kept rested, drank plenty of water, and 24 hours after originally posting this I was fine again :D
