Heat/Migraines

Does anyone else suffer from migraines especially when it is hot out or is it just me? I can't go outside for more than a few minutes when it's hot out without getting a migraine or feeling like I'm going to get sick?

Thank you for the advice! All of these are concerns I will bring up with my Dr. next month. I will have him run some test and see what he thinks is the best solution.

Thank you for all of the tips! I haven't had a ct of the brain. I plan on doing so though. I see my new primary care Physician next month and I am hoping he will schedule one for me.  I believe that my Thalassemia Minor plays a role in my migraines as well.I am not on any blood thinners. I usually rely on Excedrin Migraine with the pain but have been suffering more since they were recalled in January.

Many people with migraines are deficient in magnesium, so you should take magnesium 500 mg every morning.

try eating a banana and make sure you drink plenty of water. Yes i get more pain from a migraine when it is hot out side. For me it is because the pressure in my head builds up from the excess amount of brain fluid in the middle of my brain. Pushing the brain to the sides.

Have you had a CT of the brain?
Keep the house as cool as you can and avoid too much light. I found on a bright day I wore my sunglasses in the house to avoid the migraine building up. Bayer asprines are the best medicine as they avoid clotting of the blood.
I hope you are not on any blood thinners. If you are take the asprine only two of them morning and at night.

good lcuk

Good luck
