Hi,
Hope you are feeling better.
I would suggest you maintain a headache diary and try and identify a trigger for your migraines.
Other options include magnesium supplements, biofeedback therapy and Migravent. All these alternate therapies have shown good results in preventing migraines.

Please discuss these options with your treating physician and do keep us posted!
Hello, hope this finds you feeling better. Taking too much Imitrex can cause SERIOUS medical, long term problems with your cadiovascular system just for starters. You can also get very painful rebound headaches from taking too much medicine in a short period of time. In lieu of medication, try massage therapy. For the pain, sometimes Peppermint Essential Oil can help. Make sure the product you are using is pure essential oil, and apply 2-5 drops to the back of your neck, just below your hairline; and you can also apply a few drops to the bottom of your feet; especially around your big toe and the ball of your foot. Neither one of these recommendations will have a long term effect, but you should contact your neurologist about the possibllity of rebound headaches and possibly taking something to prevent migraines. Good luck and God Bless!
