Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
It is difficult to tell if these symptoms are due to brain tumor or not. However please keep in mind that patients with brain tumor usually have some neurological symptom along with headaches like dizziness, slurred speech, weakness or numbness on one side of the body. There is a possibility that these headaches are chronic daily headaches which can be chronic tension type headache, new daily persistent headache or chronic migraine. From your symptoms it seems that you have got chronic tension headache. Antidepressants and beta blockers are usually very helpful in controlling the symptoms of chronic tension headache. Take care!

Hello Steven. Many people have severe headaches on a regular basis. I've had severe migraines since I was 8 years old. Sometimes headache pain causes a person's neck, shoulder and back muscles to become very tense and sore during bouts of headaches. I'm hoping you will be relieved once you see the neurologist. Severe headache pain is quite scary at first. You could have classic migraines which cause nausea, fatigue and a stiff neck among other things. I'm 52 years old and have suffered with these for a long time - with no tumour in sight! I hope you feel less anxious once you see the neurologist. Your high anxiety is more than likely making your problem worse. Perhaps a trip to a good massage therapist would help you to relax and ease the tension in your neck and shoulders. Watch your posture too - if you're hunched over a computer for hours on end without taking stretch breaks your neck and shoulders will hurt like crazy and can cause tension headaches (they feel light a tight band going around your head). Take a look at the Wikipeadia sight for migraines - it's a good one to read.
