Permanent Visual Aura after migaine.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help..?

I have been suffering with head aches for a year now.
Before a year ago heads aches had never been an issue.

I just starting getting a mild head ache that I could get rid of, this went on for about a month and I started getting a mild aura.
Visual snow and flashing lights.
I always had some form of a head ache on one side but this didn't bother me too much.

I had a MRI and this showed some lesions of the frontal lobe.

Things have not been too bad but then I had a migraine and my visuals and head aches got much worst.
I get blind spots and white dots now as well as everything else.

I'm a fit and healthy 30 year old male..i'm so worried i'm going to have another migraine and this is going to finish me off. :(

Hi, Thanks for your post, I don't really have any updates, Luckily i have not had another bit migraine (fingers Crossed I wont either).
After my big Migraine in Dec last year I have been left with worst Visual Snow, after images and i sometimes get white spots in my vision.
I have just got used to it now, I live with this 24/7 too its annoying but it could be worst.
I just take things as they come and try not to worry about it all.
If I start getting regular migraines I will give the tinted lenses ago as I work in IT and use computers all day.
I have been given a few different drung ( can't remember what) but they all have just given me bad side effects and not really helped.

Do you have any updates?

I have found pink or amber tinted lenses have helped greatly reduce my migraines for 2 months now.  The blue-green spectrum that is enhanced in most fluorescent light bulbs and present in backlit screens is a trigger with only seconds of exposure. (MRI study on photophobia)

Your issue in the frontal lobe could indicate something other than typical migraine since the part of the area of the brain affected by migraines is in the back area, thus the visual affects. (The Doctors)

Tinted lenses also help reduce bad after-images for me. I live with visual snow 24/7 and have found no cure, although I have declined Topamax due to side effects.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
I have seen a Neroligist about the MRI, they show white lesion on the frontal lobe, I have 3 large lesions on the right side of my frontal lobe.
The Neurologist has advised these lesions look like ischemic lesions.
I don't really see my self as a Migrine suffer as I have now only had about 3 in my whole life time.
SInce I have had this headache which started about a year ago, i seem to be stuck in the Aura stage, A very mild head ache started and then I started to get visual disturbances.
My symptoms were not bothering me too much untill I have a big migraine in december.
My head ache and visuals have been 10 times worse since then and don't seem to be getting any better.
I have tried a beta block called Proponall I think, this didn't really help so I have not stopped taking these now.
I think I need to try something else.
I have another MRI next week to see if there have been any further change.
I think I need to take something to carlm this down but I don't know what is a good idea??
I have a Neurologist appointment in a few weeks too.
Thanks for your help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Can you elaborate on the MRI result concerning the lesion in the frontal lobe? Were you able to see a neurologist regarding this? Primary headaches such as migraine headache usually resolves with rest, ice pack, avoidance of triggers and prescription medications( both preventive and acute medications). To help identify the possible triggers, a headache journal may help. It could be anything like the weather, food, etc. Take care and do keep us posted.
