Hi,
How are you? Hemiplegic migraines usually present with numbness, pins-and-needles feeling, weakness, loss of balance and coordination, visual aura, language difficulties, slurred speech, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light/sound/smell and even confusion. It is best that you have this checked by your neurologist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other neurological issues such as TIA and stroke. Take care and do keep us posted.
Hi Kellie,
I'm not a doctor, but those symptoms are very common when you get a migraine. If you get frequent migraines or the symptoms are worrisome, you should see your doctor. A neurologist is a doctor who specializes in migraines. (Some neurologists are more qualified than others in treating migraines.) A trip to your primary care physician is a good first step - he/she may also be able to rule out other possible conditions.
Good luck and feel better! :)
