Severe Headaches for 4 weeks

Hello, I have had the most awful headaches for 4 weeks now with loss of voice as well. I went to doctor at the beginning of the second week and was tested for flu and strep. Dr felt I was developing Bronchitis and treated me with antibiotics. The headaches are the worse ever. They stop me in my tracks, literally. At night the headache gets more intense when I try to turn over and causes me to have to sit up instead of lying down. My head feels as if I move too quick it will explode. I went back to healthcare facility beginning of 3rd week and was tested again for flu and this time blood work and chest x-ray. No infection and no prescriptions. Went straight to ER and they did MRI. No findings and was given another stack of meds to take for one week. This is the beginning of the 4th and I still feel soooo bad and still loss of voice. Any ideas what's going on

Hi, I'm sry u feel so miserable! I feel ur pain! At this very moment I am suffering from a bad cold/flu infection whatever it is. I see my dr on wed. And I have chronic  daily migraines. When I have a sinus infection my migrianes are at their WORST! And I mean WORST!!! So bad Iv made stupid comments about wishing I was dead and that God would just take me from the pain. I take relpax for my migrianes it's a perscription. And I also have immitrex injections. It's a shot I give in my leg for migrianes. I use a sinus rinse to help with the pressure and congestion and after a couple days it helps with the explosion feeling. I hope this helps! U can get the sinus rinse bottles at any drug store and go to a dr to get perscription of relpax or immitrex. Ur headache has gone on for so long U need to break the cycle now. The ER doesn't usually help. They usually give a shot of toradol and morohine in ur butt and that actually will recreate the cycle. It doesn't even touch the pain for me. Ice is good but don't block ur sinuses anymore than what they are. Cool mist humidifier is what my neurologist told me to do as well. I have one running right now and Iv had it running all night and I feel slightly less pressure. I hope u feel better! I truly know ur pain.  I'm so sry ur going thru this! Let me know how ur feel if u feel any better! -Alyssa

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? It is good that the MRI results were fine. If the pain persists despite the prescribed antibiotic, further evaluation and additional diagnostic tests may need to be done to determine the underlying cause. Stronger prescription medications, Ice pack and referral to an ENT may also  be help. Hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
