as for why blocking your ears helps it proberly because it reduce the sound vibration and there fore reducing the efect that has on your pain. It would kind of be the same as a person suffering with photophobia with a migraine they cover or close there eye's this helps some what. I have been dealing with photophobia almost every day to one degree or another. If this keeps up I'm thinking of asking for a ct scan to rule out other reason for it.
you headache sound very simular to mine except I called it a fuzzy feeling but it could also be discribed as very fast vibration. I ended up falling asleep after pain med's and woke up feeling better but not 100%.
I dont know how to avoid getting headaches like this with out avoiding fun activites. My last Dr told me to NOT do things that cause them lol thats like imposiable and borring. If I avoided everything that caused them I would not beable to do craft, scrap booking, sewing, reading, Todays was set off while watching a movie I cant avoide everything but I really want to just be left alone by the headach's is not fair.
I dont wish headachs on my worse enermy. I hope your feeling beter soon.
Hi,
Thank you for the update. Great to know that you are managing your headache very well. Indeed, a change in your lifestyle and relaxation techniques goes a long way with your recovery. Other members of the forumwill indeed learn from your posts. Take care and wishing you good health always.
The vibrations have stopped now. I found that changing my lifestyle to get away from work, (doing yoga), taking st. Johns wart (depression can influence headaches), and taking Magnesium were all beneficial.
I do have slight head tension, but its practically not there now and am confident it will go.
I have read on the internet others who have similar experiences to mine. There headaches didn't appear to allieviate though. Some had vibrations in there head for over a year. The internet can be a scary place! Be careful!
For anyone who suffers symptoms like mine you can make a recovery.
Thanks for the reply,
I will try out ice packs.
I am unclear if it is a Migraine. It might be... The pulsations / Vibrations are continuous though. It pulses down to my foot as well. I'm not anxious now I know my MRI was ok (2 weeks ago).
Most likely its a weird migraine thing. I'm wondering if nerves are being "hit" in my head when the blood rushes through sending off a signal. Or is it anxiety related.
It was extremely bad in Mid April. It was so violent that I had to use sleeping pills at night. Fortunatly I can sleep at night now. It can be barely noticeable when I walk around. And placing an ear plug in seems to help reduce the mild dizzyness. Why I have no idea (reduce sensory overload? Placebo effect?).
I will go to a special migraine clinic net Thursday.
Hi,
How are you? Migraine headaches present with one-sided throbbing headache with associated nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sounds. It could be a migraine headache. Try to rest, put ice packs and identify the possible triggers before the attack. There is a headache tracker here in Medhelp that may help. Knowing the trigger may help you avoid recurrences. If it persists, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
It is good that you are feeling better already and the previous MRI was fine . Migraine headaches may not present with the associated symptoms. It would help though if you have your ears checked also to rule out any problems in this area. If you identify the triggers that I mentioned, it willl also help in avoiding the recurrent headaches. Best regards.
