Strange problem effecting quality of life need help...

have a strange problem. When I'm in loud noise whether it's at a bar, club, family event, restaurants, even loud movies at the theater.... Anywhere, where you have to speak loud to hear another right next to you...the next day (not that night), I wake up with a severe headache, dehydration, pale complexion, nausia, brain fog that lasts 24 hours. I tried ear plugs (helps minimally), tried drinking more water (added electrolytes) (helps minimally). Extra sleep helps minimally but can't always get that. I wish there was something I can just take right before bed or when out that would help me to wake up and feel normal. It ruins my next day. I can't make any real plans the next day and this is effecting the quality of my life because I love to go out. This has been happening since my mid twenties(now 38 and I've just been dealing but I don't want to anymore...I need an answer and help! Thanks anyone who could help me or recommend top doc. Went to one neurologist and did some test (reflex) and everything looks normal. Somethings getting inflamed in my head and I need to stop it...want my life back!

No, common salty snacks. I have good BP.  Not diabetic or on any medications or hormones. I do test positvie for Epstein Barr since my early 20's but it's never active. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. All I know is something is getting inflammed in my head the next morning when I wake up and lasts 24 hrs. and can linger into the next day if in really loud noise night before for a longer period of time.

Sure, this is strange, at least to me.

Let us look for some common factor in these varied activities on the evenings prior to headache. Is it some snacks containing more of salt?

How is your BP? I think you have to get it measured when you feel fine and also when you have headache.

Hope you are not a diabetic and not on any medication including hormones.

Hi There,

Migraine headaches can be induced by loud noise and symptoms include headache and nausea. Another possibility is sinusitis which makes one hypersensitive to loud noises.

You can try taking Tylenol or Motrin just before going out as it will help counter the headaches.
Since you have identified a definite trigger for your headaches and other symptoms it would be best to avoid loud places.
I would suggest you to consult a good headache specialist in your area.

Regards
