Topamax interactions

I am so confused I just saw a neurologist for my migraines and he prescribed Topamax. When I read the info that went with it and looked up info on line it said something about interacting with asthma meds and meds for the urinary tract. I have asthma and take flovent and xopenex I also have interstitial cystitis so therefore I take Elmiron. I have no idea if the doctor read my list of meds or not. But I do not want to take this if there is going to be an interaction. I also take thyroid meds-- armour and have endometriosis so I will take Advil and Tylenol for the pain from endo. I also have Nasonex and Allegra for allergies. If anyone knows how these drugs will interact with one another please let me know. Also I had depakote but it made me feel like a zombie will Topamax do the same since it is also an anticonvulsant?

The compound meds can really be an issue much of the time and the pharmacist should have been able to tell u this.....scary.

I am so glad u found out and r now feeling better.

Do post an update after ur EEG

I talked with my pharmacist and she said that there would be no problem. So I started taking it, but I should have found out the inert ingredients. The lame pharmaceutical company puts lactose monohydrate in Topomax (I cannot have any caisen/dairy products) and it aggravated my asthma and made me very congested. I get so mad that the pharm companies use ingredients that are in the list of top 10 food allergies. Needless to say I am now off the drug (with my neuro's knowledge) and the asthma has calmed down and I am no longer congested. I have an EEG on the 24th because my new (and 3rd) neuro suspects seizure activity may be contributing to my migraines.
