Hi Tammi.
My son had a huge brain tumor a few years back. Before we disovered this, he had weird episodes, at night for several months. He had several eeg's, and other test done, not one of them showed up as a seizure. One day he just dropped to the floor at school. I took him to the E.R., and sure enough they found the tumor. After a serious surgery, and several years of recovery, he is doing well. About the first year after the surgery I asked his Microneurosurgeon why none of the sezuires he was obviously having showed up on the eeg. She said that unless you are about to have a seizure or have just had one, the eeg is not a good indicator of seizures. I'm not trying to freak you out, and make you think that you have a brain tumor. I just know that this very reputable neurosurgeon told me this. Maybe something to discuss with your Doctor...?
i have shaking all over, but the dr, ruled out seizures.eeg and ekg was also done and both test were fine. thanks 4 asking.
Hi,
Just to add. Are your headaches usually accompanied by shaking of the arm?
Have you discussed this symptom with your physician? Was any EEG done to rule out any underlying seizures that may be associated with the headaches?
Do keep us posted.
Hello.
The symptoms of cluster headache are very specific. Can you mention how many days of the month you get the headache. The headaches usually come at around the same time each day. You also get a red eye and watering some times.
Verapamil is a preventive medicine. It prevents a further attack. But you also need an abortive medicine. (Some examples are - sumatriptan, zolmitriptan and magnesium).
Usually the combination of medicines works best.
