so i have been to just about every doctor possible and i can not figure out what is wrong with me, getting very annoying. pretty much every doctor ive seen has just told me i have a cold or something when i kno theres more to it than that. i finally  spoke to a dr. that thought i had hyperthyroidism and i went for tests and they came back fine so im completley stuck. my main problem is my vision, its really harrd to explain but its not normal, its almost like its very shiffty and not smooth like its supposed to be, kind of a little blurry and the natural light hurts. sometimes haev wierd flashes or random bright lines in my vision. ive been having alot of pressure in my head there like quick sharp pains and sometimes above my eye brows has alot of pressure. my throat and tonsels are quite swollen and ive also been having really bad anxiety, and constant fast heart rate. i am only 18 and i dont want to deal with this any longer pleaseee help i dont no what to do anymore :(

Hi,
How are you? It is good that the thyroid function tests were normal. What other diagnostic tests were done? Were you able to see an eye doctor for your vision problems? If physical examination was normal, it is possible that this could be due to primary headaches such as migraine as mentioned above. Another differential is an infection, either viral or bacterial in nature. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. Migraine usually respond to rest, ice pack, avoidance of triggers and both preventive and abortive medications. Take care and do keep us posted.

It sounds like visual auras associated with migraines.  They're quite common and nothing to panic about.  There are plenty of medications to treat the pain, but I don't think any for the visual auras, which include the flashes and lines you mentioned.  I'm pretty sure migraines can affect the whole neck, throat and back area as well, as they can affect everyone differently.  I have the visual auras as well and know without a diagnosis they can lead to anxiety and disorientation.  I'm surprised your doctor hasn't informed you of this possibility.  Google it and learn more.  Good luck.
