I have been getting headaches daily for years, I have gone to several different doctors and I am on preventive medication, but nothing seems to work. I drink exedrine for migraine as if it were candy, pain killers do nothing so I feel your pain.

Hi,

How are you?
Long lasting headache requires further evaluation. There can be many causes of headaches lasting for prolonged periods of time like anxiety, stress, high BP, tension headache, poor eyesight, sleep deprivation, sinusitis.
Is it a dull ache or a throbbing one?
I would suggest you to learn some relaxation techniques like breathing exercises and meditation as you seem to be under stress. You can take OTC pain killers and mild tranquilizer. Meanwhile schedule an appointment with your doctor and undergo a complete evaluation.
Take care!
