Chronic Migraine Headaches Every F(T.)N Day for 6 Yrs!

         Hello, my name is Cameron, and I am 31 yrs old. I live in Atlanta and I have been afflicted with Severe Chronic Daily Migraines for the last 6+ years. I wake up with a headache and I go to bed (if I'm lucky) with a headache...except these are not your regular headaches. These are the most excruciatingly painful headaches anyone can imagine. I say this with confidence b/c for one I'm a relatively young male and I have played competitive hockey most of my life, even playing some minor pro hockey, so I have a pretty tough attitude and a pretty high tolerance to pain...
        
       ...especially since I've had 6 hockey-related operations. I have had both knees reconstructed (ACL's), 2 screws put into my R ankle, 1 L knee artroscopic, and 2 R hand/wrist surgeries from fighting, so my only real point is to make it clear that I don't waiver easily..and I have lost any hesitation when it comes to going under the knife...if it's recommended.

        That being said, I have NEVER experienced anything quite like I have with this daily chronic pain associated with these headaches. I have been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia ("The Suiced Disease"), Chronic Migraine Syndrome, Misaligned Atlas, Shingles, TMD, and yadayadayada...

         Is there someone else out there that can help sugeest anything other than the treatments that I have attempted (to know avail)?
        
         I have tried the following: 26 medications (I'm in too much pain right now to even try to list them, so sorry), T.E.N.S. Unit, Chiropractic, Temporalis Injections, Serapin injections in my neck, Acupuncture, Radio Frequency Surgery, Praying, Narcotics, Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic (this actually does help, but I still have pain CONSTANTLY!), massage, T.E.E. Test (to rule out a hole in my heart which can potentially cause chronic migraines), and I'm sure there is something that I'm forgetting.

Can anyone please offer anything? Anything? I would love to get back to living my life the way GOD, and my wife would like me to. Please help!

Hi...may I ask  are the injections for the lymes or the migraines...sorry, but I am confused.

Have you been tested for LYME DISEASE?? I too (albiet the fact that i am a woman) have been misdiagnosed for many years, and my dr just found out I have Lyme. I suffered terribly from migraines in the beginning. I had never been thru so much pain either. And I to have been thru many surgeries and recoveries. Just to let you know tho', sometimes no treatment is the best treatment for migraine sufferers. I have had to ice only and pay out to chiros only for relief instead of relying on the medical community with their drugs. Also, I see a dr who has performed what is called guna injections. It can never hurt to look into something new...

Hi,
How are you? I'm sorry to hear what you have been through for the last 6+ years. Was there an injury to your head or neck? Indeed, 26 medications and other modalities would make one want to stop hoping but I commend you for being vigilant still. Have you tried other complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) like biofeedback therapy? Aside from praying and acupuncture, biofeedback has helped a lot of headache sufferers. The National Institute of Health has conducted plenty of studies also with favorable results. Take care and do keep us posted. Warm regards.
