my son has been also subjected every week mostly in sleep which is disturbed with severe right eye pain which travels to the same right side temple just above the eye.

The symptoms of a cluster headache include stabbing severe pain behind or above one eye or in the temple. Tearing of the eye, congestion in the associated nostril, and pupil changes and eyelid drooping may also occur.
Pain of cluster headache is severe and lasts about 30/45 minutes and sometimes also associated with bowel movement and gases formation.
My son is suffering from last 4 years and no one diagnosed this problem of cluster headache which we searched on the internet and found the symptoms matching the results. Dr.has suggested to take Migrof 5 tablets twice daily and also steam karvol inhalations before going to bed to clear breathing. Some expert specialists may advise us more on this cause and remedy.

Hi
Thanks for the post!
Headaches are of different types like tension, migraine, sinus and cluster headaches. Your headaches seem to be coming in cycles with either pain free interval or reduced intensity. They seem like cluster headaches. Please see these two links for more information on them.

Sharp pains could be migraine, cluster headaches, stress and anxiety related or could be due to tumor in the brain. They could also be due to refractive errors. They could also be due to cervical spondylitis especially if she is using computers for a long time. They could also be temporal arteritis.

Your must get yourself completely investigated for brain tumors, refractive errors of the eye, and stress and anxiety factors.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
