Yes I too have these types of migraines..I was told they are "silent migraines." Sorry to say I have them 90% of the time which causes me to be off balance, fall and have blurry vision.
We are working to get them under control but I don't see a specialist until Dec. Right now we are trying Nadalol, a beta blocker as a preventative. Not much success as far as I can tell. Prevention is the key since we don't feel them or it takes days to actually get the headache.
See a specialist in headache/migraine if you can, is my best advise.
It is too bad you are going thru this........best wishes,
Tracy
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
If there is involvement of only one eye then probably what you have is a retinal migraine. This can cause repeated episodes diminished vision or blindness. This may precede or accompany a headache.
If there are no headaches at all, then probably it is a true ophthalmic migraine. An aura in the eye could also be a halo. The causes are smoking, high far sightedness, retinitis pigmentosa, cataract, air pollution, heavy alcohol consumption and glaucoma.
A blind spot is generally a normal finding in the eye, unless you are talking about a a blind spot in your vision either in central vision or peripheral vision. The above conditions should then be looked into.
Please consult an eye specialist. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
