Hi,
How are you? Aside from those mentioned,  try to identify the triggers to prevent recurrences. Try to avoid pain relievers also to avoid rebound headaches. It is best that you talk to your doctor about this. Both abortive and preventive medications may also be prescribed to help you manage your headaches. Take care and do keep us posted.

Pookie67,

Were you prescribed the cymbalta for migraines?  Many of the symptoms you describe are side effects of that medication.  You may want to have a discussion with your Doctor and may be a different or more agreeable medication can be tried.

From my experience when I am sad or anxious I suffer more migraines, the mind is so very connected to the body and somehow these emotions come out.  Some people have high blood pressure or IBS ect.  So that can definately make the migraines worse.

Also you might want to check if this is a side effect of medication.  I take Zoloft but can not increase the dosage without causing a migraine.  The pharmacy is a great place to ask about side effects.

Mum's must always  be right. :)  But it very hard to get out of bed everyday feeling like garbage.  If you can force yourself to get up for a little while.  I get up because I tell myself I have to feed my bunnies then once I get moving it helps.  If I get up and just sit around it doesn't seem to help.  Now I am working on making myself walk regularly.

Hope this helps if nothing else I can empathize with your situation.  Hang in there
