nurontin and migraines?

I am wondering if anyone out there has been treated with nurontin for migraines. My daughter who is 15 gets them often and has just cried because of the pain. I ended up giving her a nurontin and it stopped the migraine immediately. I was just grasping at straws and thought since it was a seizure medicine, that it might stop her episode.

Hi,  yes I take neurontin also.  It helps with much of my other pain but doesn't keep the migraines away.  Or maybe they would be worse but I doubt it.  Natalol is a beta blocker and that is what they are trying for me now.
Best wishes

Yes,I have been treated with neurontin before for my headaches. However the medicine didnt help me..but my grandmother in law takes it for her headaches and it does help her.i would let the dr know that u gave your daughter one and it helped her.and he will likely put her on a dose that is suitable and safe for her age.hope this helps.
