Hi,
How are you?
Topamax is an anticonvulsant drug which is used for migraine prophylaxis. One of the side effects of this medication is headache. Headache is known to occur in about 25% patients taking topamax.
If you continue to get headaches please discuss this with your doctor. You may need dosage adjustment or switched to an alternate drug.
Take care!
Yes, Blondie, I used Topamax once and the same happened to me. The only medication that help me is a cocktail of 2 aspirins, 2 Tylenol and 2 Motrin 800mg, if I catch it at the beginning. I f is too late,Imitrex 100mg works for me, specially the injection, pills are prone to take effect a bit later, but the injection is inmediate .
I hope this helps, Bob
