Hi,

Has this swelling occured abruptly?

I suggest that you seek immediate consult at the ER. This may be a side effect of the medications and you may need immediate intervention.I am also thinking that this could be due to an underlying condition that could have caused your headaches on the first place. If your headaches have been present for a long time and there were no associated symptoms prior to your present condition ,an ER consult is necessary.

Hi, as far as the present symptoms are concerend, probably they are due to prednisone only. Verapamil is the drug given in prophylaxis of migraine but it can not abort the attack once it get started.

May be you need to taper the dose of prednisone as this drug is never withdrawn instantly. Do consult doctor for side effects.
