Lyme and ANA Test Results

Soo I just got the results of my blood tests for Lyme disease and ANA.  Both are negative, as below.  So far I'm still completely normal as far as blood chemisty, infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, brain, spine, and nerve conduction.  Is there anything left?  I just got off a (HOT) airplane to Charleston, SC and I couldn't read my  kindle because my hands were shaking and my thumb kept occasionally pushing "next page" because of tremors.  The saga continues...

Just a rant.  Off to work.  :-/

I really can't take a leave of absence.  I've been going to the doctor 2-3 days a week for the past six weeks or so, and they've been really flexible about that.  I've told my boss what's going on, but nobody on the board knows, and even if they did, it's that same thing I've read over and over about MS patients (whether or not I have it): I don't *look* sick, so not being able to stay awake and being really low energy just makes me look like a loser.

Is it possible for you to take a leave of absence while they try to figure out what's wrong? Could some of the meds be contributing to the tremors? I know some antidepressants will cause tremors. My heart really goes out to you..

Aghh :((  I am on travel for work--it's the association's summer board retreat and meeting, and I'm the marketing/communications director.  The board dinner was tonight and GUESS WHO fell asleep an hour before and almost slept through it?  They held up the bus ten minutes waiting for me while the president called.  I was just so exhausted, I hardly heard the phone ringing.  And of course, while trying to take my first bite of the first course, my left hand went all shaky and the food ended up in my lap.  What a humiliating night.

The prez is my boss and he knows about all the issues I've been having, but he just kind of gave me a forced smile tonight and told the board that I wasn't feeling well.  I don't know how to handle this if it's going to be an ongoing thing.  THIS is why I am so determined to find out what is wrong with me.  If I could say, I'm sorry, but I have a chronic illness that makes me extremely fatigued and shaky, etc. then I wouldn't have to worry so much.  People are bound to start thinking I'm a slacker.  I had to give an oral presentation to the board today and my eyes couldn't focus on the paper and so I was going on bits of my notes and memory, which is spotty at best, and it was just a big mess.

I am a completely different person from who I was three years ago when I started this job.  I don't love the job, but I really don't love looking like a disinterested fool.

I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time figuring out what's going on..not for nothing, I'm assuming they ruled out thyroid problems, parkinsons, and fibromyalgia? When I had hyperthyroid- wow did my hands tremble - my friend has parkinsons and he tremors when he is at rest..his hand can be tremoring, but then he picks something up and it stops, my daughter has fibro and she has tremors sometimes. There are just so many conditions that can cause tremors - and all 3 above, also can cause heat intolerance and there are gobs more.

My husband is a recovering alcoholic and he had a liver transplant. His body has problems clearing out the ammonia from his system and he gets tremors terribly when the ammonia is rising..which is good for me cause then I know he needs extra of his medicine to neutralize the ammonia..

I'll be praying for you :)

Well darn!!!!!!!!  Thought maybe, just maybe one of those tests would turn up something since they hadn't been done before.

I am no expert as far as what else you could have so I can't answer that one but since all the usual suspects are being ruled out maybe you are going to end up with something really really rare?  Idk.

Rant anytime, that's one of our useful purposes. Stay cool!!
