Unusaul Headache

Just as read by all the comments on the unusual headaches, my mom suffers the same thing. I am 15 years old and about over 8 months ago, my mom was experiencing a terrible pain in her lower back with shooting pains leading down to her left leg. She received an MRI scan and it was noticed that she had/has a dislocated disc. This is causing her a great pain as there is no releif- medications, heating pads, streches, physiotherapy, etc. nothing works. However, recently she has been experiencing severe and unusual headaches that are causing great discomfort. She has trouble sleeping every night, randomly breaks down into tears, looks extremely depressed and stressed, and is absolutely tired of it. She has received a CT scan and MRI on her head and upper spine and fortunately there's nothing in her head however there was noticed to be a small dot shown on the X-ray in her cervical spine. The doctors thought it was a 'cavity' from a non-curable sickness known as Hydromyelia however now they think it is a sist. They say that it is extremly small and nothing to worry about and that it probably has nothing to do with her head pains which are occuring from deep inside the middle and top of her head, the back near the neck, and now above the eyes. Another doctor is now referring it to be symptoms of a migraine but that is just not possible. I think the docotors are having enough of this as they continuously do not know what this is. It worries me so much so please help and respond if you can.

Thank you so much for you response! My mom had an appointment with a neurologist just three days ago and it turns out that it is indeed Tension Headache. He pointed out that it is readily noticeable that she is suffering from anxiety. The only question I am wondering now is anxiety from WHAT? But thats another matter. As for her head pains, they are getting a lot better and she even  sleeps well all through the night! I am so happy that it has improved-thanks for all the information, it makes me feel a lot better in concerns of her health.
