Vibrations in my left leg

I am wondering why I feel a vibration in my left leg.  When it first started I thought it was my cell phone ringing but my phone was not in my pocket.  I feel the vibration all day long and it has a pattern to it.  It is a weired feeling and I can not figure out what causes this and why it will not go away.  Can you tell me why I feel this?

I just found you folks today. I have been having the same sensations for four days now.  Non-stop vibrations in  my upper left thigh (groin area). They are definitely rhythmic in nature... sometimes longer, sometimes shorter pulses.

The only additions I can make:

I was in a serious car accident 10 years ago and had previous nerve damage to this leg (but not this area)... so the leg doesn't hold the strength it used to... BUT

I have been working out for about 3 months now and the leg has been doing great, until this.  When I worked out last night (on an elliptical for 30 minutes) my leg ached and then the pulses were longer last night and today.

I have had circulation problems in my leg as well... but have never had any symptoms like this.  I would think circulation problems would show up with more concerns than a vibration.  I would also agree not a muscle twitch, because there is no "twitch" to it.  Because nerves innervate muscles (which is why nerve damage causes strength issues) then I would guess this is a nerve thing, since the muscle in my leg is more sore than usual this week.

Just a thought with no medical degree, but lots of doctor visit experience:)
I do  like the drink a beer idea though:)

I thought I was imagining it until i decided to search the net .  I'm having a vibration that seems to be coming from the left side of my left foot from the small toe to jus in front of the left ankle. It lasts for about 1 to 1-1/2 second at 2-3 second intervals. I, to thought it was due to some electronic source.
I'm 57, male and have had two heart valve replacements and the last one had to be assisted with a pacemaker.

My mother used to describe precisely those symptoms; turns out the vibration was just muscle tension, caused by not getting enough or good sleep. I get those vibrations too when I don't sleep right, but checkit out of course

Wow,  I thought it was all in my head!   I've been having this vibration  happen to my left leg for over a week now.   i thought I was going crazy.  i wish there was an answer, of course my mind always imagines the worst.  I'm curious if the people that started this topic awhile ago still have these vibrations or if they have stopped?

I am 24 and have been having these vibrations above my left knee.  It started on a Sunday while I was at the grocery store!  I have been having knee/shin soreness in the same leg.  The vibrations don't hurt, they are just weird.  It is surprising that no one has any answers!  Too bad there is not a DR. on this site!

Same! But when I explained this to my Rhuematologist she said it was neuropthy from my Fibromyalgia. But you can have neuropthy and not have Fibro too.

As for mine I get them when I've been sitting for too long. Like now, since I should be getting to bed, but I've been sitting on my but for like 3 hours on the stupid computer I started to have the sensation in my butt.

The thing is I think it can be for different reasons for everyone. Our bodies are so tricky sometimes. Wish we knew everything, but then we wouldn't have a need for doctors...I guess.
