drainage of watery yellow fluid from nose

Friday while I was bent over blow-drying my hair, bright yellow fluid suddenly started dripping out of my nose.  It felt like a nose bleed and that's what I thought it was until I observed the color.  I had never seen any fluid that color come out of my body before.  The drainage was unilateral--left side only.  I made an appointment with my doctor but cannot see her until Tuesday.  Investigating a bit onlne I saw something that seemed similar--CSF leakages.  But I have had no brain injuries, only a recent cold.  My question is--is this probably what I think it is?  Do I need to be very concerned?  Should I insist on seeing the doctor sooner or go to emergency?  What should I do in the meantime?  It hasn't happened again since then.  I'm really feeling a bit scared.
Thanks so much
Heidi

It happened 3 times to me 2 months apart. My nose would feel stuffed, then I blew my nose, then a florescent yellow-orange liquid started running. I thought it was a nose bleed, It seemed to pour right out of my left nostril. After It was done, the congestion in my left nostril was gone... This started happening after I had sinus surgery where the doctor removed a cyst from my left sinus.

I just banged my head really hard running down the stairs and I fell to my knees cause I saw white. When I was on the ground I thought I had a nose bleed cause I could feel liquid running out of my nose. I put my hand there expecting blood and I just found snot, as if my nose was running due to cold weather. It's late May by the way. My nose just kept dripping and dripping. Never experienced anything like this before. My fiance got me some tissues and I blew my nose and that's when I saw the "yellow" tint or color that my snot was. After some research on the inter webs I found out that it wasn't snot at all, but some sort of hembreal fluids. I haven't seen the doctor cause I feel fine and I have no insurance, so I just hope that it was just a weird occurence.

I've been recovering from a cold for a week now and after bending over to pick something up a bright yellow fluid started running from my right nostril. About 2 tablespoons of the stuff, it felt like a nose bleed. The liquid was bright yellow and watery but didn't have a noticeable odour. Same as most folks here. I'm 31 and have been taking Clarityn the last few days. Also the first time I've every experienced this. I'm inclined to think that it must be due to a nasal infection as people have suggested.
