headache for 3 days

Hello , so about 3 years ago I started having bad headaches mainly in the temple area (the sides of my head). I would get them every day , so about 4 mmonths after it all started I went to the e.r and they did ct scans and it was all clear then I got referred to a neurologist and had a mri done and it was clear also, they just said they were tension headaches , so I left it at that., now 3 days ago I came down with a bad headache and I still have it today, tylenol wont help it , im  scared it could be a tumor or something in my head :/, if there was something wrong in my head wouldnt the ct scans and mri have showed it 3 yrs ago?

A CT would have picked that up, so you can relax. :-)

Yes a migraine or tension headache can last that long.  Follow the above suggestions,  keep a headache diary, but if it becomes too severe call your doctor.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Hello foggy and thanks soo much for your help,, one last question , so if I had a normal ct scan of my head does that mean I have ruled out tumors? Or anything life threatening?

If you go online, you can download a "Headache Diary" or log to keep track of these headaches.  You may notice trends on what sets them off, and this will help you and the doctors in treating you better.

I'm glad to hear that you were pro-active in you care and went to another hospital and got the CT scan (keep copies of your reports).  As stated above, it is important that all the doctors and you stay in communication regarding your symptoms and your treatment plan so that you get the best care.
