Hydrophaelus Doctors

Good Afternoon,
I have a question for you,  Should  the optomitrists have detected the Hydrophaelus ?  From the age of 10 I went to get my eyes tested, I had gone because I couldn't see properly and had headaches.  If they shone the light in my eyes then shouldn't they have detected my Hydrophaelus at an earler age?  I always went  when we thought I was having bad headaches from the eyes not being able to focus properly.
Now having said this; Are the children being tested as I was with the lamp shinning in my eyes to see the back of their eyes?
After I got a new pair of glasses my headaches settled down. My headaches were  excrusciating  when I was young. Especially if they had to cope in the dark.
I think that all the children should be tested for a hydrophaelus via an eye test . If i had been tested and this defect was found at an earlier age, there might of been less nerve damage and a better quality of life.
Happy New Year Everyone.

Good morning ,
At least in the Netherlands it is 7:58 am.
Had the most awful night . My right leg was cramping all night. The foot hurt so badly I couldnt get it back to its normal state for at least a half hour, The tingling was horrible. Had to lay on my side just to give it the rest it needed.
That usually happens when I have eaten fried  meat with green vegetables and is a sign of the Gallbaldder acting up. I am usually so careful of what I eat.
New sysmptom has developed. My right ear is in pain on the outside of bone of the jaw just where the drain is situated. My jaw is making the most awful cracking when I eat a sandwich. I coould hardly open my mouth and it would lock. When I do ,finally chew it cracks rather loudly.
( my eldest brother has the same thing) I had not thought it would be so painful for him. But it is.Probably more painful for me since I have this excess water on the brain.
Its difficult to sit, my hamstring feels really tight.
It seems to act up too when my boules are making the way towards the anus.

I have told my mum to ask my brother to get a CT scan of his brain.
Because the doctors have operated on his back twice and it did not help.
Of course being a farmer didn't help much either. He had switched professions but it is too late I am afraid.
The doctors are at a loss of what is exactly going on with him.

So before I do anything , i want enough or as much information as I can possibly get.
Some how my brother and I have the same problem.
The slipped discs are herritary from my Dad's side of the family.
The cracking of the jaw bothers me now.

Do  you know this is the first time I have actually prayed to God that it will end soon.
I have had too many challenges in this lifetime, Not many of them have been good ones.
I just hope someone has  a brainstorm and pops up with a great idea.

Good luck
Stilll holding on. Won't go to thge specialists again until I know that everyone understands perfectly well what is going on.
My psycological part of my being can not or will not stand for any more brown sugar.
have a great morning.

Could it come from my hip wearing down from walking incorrectly for so many years ? The Hydrophaelus makes my rght leg swing whilst walking!
I sometimes stumble and fall because of it. My neurologists advice was try not to fall . I might hurt myself and then they would have to operate on me.

I went to an eye specialist first as they are the only ones who can measure the pressure behind the eyes.  When I lived in Canada , we went to an eye specialist My Brother and I and my mum. We all had the same eye problem inherrited from my Mum's mum.
So this is the thing , they did look into our eyes with a light. Shouldn't they have detected my Hydrophaelus way back when. I lived in Canada until I was 19. The first time I went to the eye specialist was when I was 11. I saw him regularly.
When my vision began to fail, and the headaches began around 12 yrs old. So now again. Is it so difficult to see that it took so many years to find. They only found it after they did a CT scan.
When I visited the Neurologist , after doing all the tests and taking for ever, so it seemed. He did rush me threw the tests when he saw me staggering when I went to shake hands with him.
Does it take a trained eye to see the Hydrophaleus?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

An optometrist is not a doctor and may not be trained to detect medical conditions. If there are other symptoms in addition to vision abnormalities, it is best advised to see an ophthalmologist (an eye doctor).
Yes, the itchiness could be a sign of infection/ inflammation or a foreign body. You may consider getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or an ophthalmologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

There is an itchyness on the inside of my body around my right hip! Is that a feeling of healing or infection?
