numbness in foot

I've been experiencing a bit of numbness on the top of my right foot for about 5 days now. I don't believe it is related to any physical injury in the foot. I was reading some related posts and it occurred to me this might be related to an incident 2 years ago where I fear i may have injured my neck while carrying buckets of cement incorrecctly. I didn't suffer any particular accident, but i noticed one day that my neck was making popping sounds. I didn't experience any pain, but the sound was concerning. Anyhow I hadn't thought about it much since it seems to have gone away. Anyhow I'm living in South America at the moment and won't visit family in the states for at least 2 months. Should I see a local doctor here or wait till i get to the states. thanks

This is strange because you just described exactly what happened to me, I was at work about 4 years ago and was carrying a big roll of carpet on my left shoulder when I went to adjust the balance of it it rolled on the neck and I did some damage to 4 discs in the neck, plus I tore a ligament in my left knee. but I don't see how this can be the problem of numbness on the bottom of my foot and top center of it, it feels like I'm walking on a ball of rubber. I do have congestive heart condition and take alot of medications some are water pills. I had to change one pill because of vascular problems with my legs breaking out with red and hot like blotches on them. After I switch meds that cleared up but this thing with the feet still annoy me. If you know anything to help me please let me know. Thank You

Mr. Anurag thank you so much for your your response. The last couple days I've been imagining some kind of brain cancer or similar and was deciding how to give away all my possessions. Will set up an appointment tomorrow. Thanks so much.

Hi, Thank you very much for your question. Your symptoms could be due to anxiety, injury to a nerve, pressure on spinal or peripheral nerves (neuropathy), vitamin deficiency, lack of blood supply due to cholesterol plaque from atherosclerosis in the extremities, viral infection and use of certain medications.  In addition, atherosclerosis can also cause pain, numbness, and tingling while walking and they can also reduce blood supply and lead to numbness. Please consult your doctor to get all these possibilities evaluation in your case for further assessment. Hope this helps.
