Baseball is generally not a particularly "active" sport -- so we have to know, how do you practice?  Most sports require a lot of running and lifting, but baseball is mostly a game of skill, with a lot of standing around and then sudden spurts of movement.  So if you practice really hard, you need more to recover from than if you don't.  What baseball does do is tax the back and the legs from the crouching and bending, and the arm from the throwing.  So you want electrolytes much as aerobic activity requires, but also antioxidants to prevent the lactic acid build-up that can lead to muscle tightness.  So I'd look for something like a protein snack with spirulina or seaweed in it --  great for antioxidants.  If you don't have a weight problem, the above shakes aren't bad, but I personally stay away from dairy so I wouldn't personally use whey, but that's me.  But the berries are great for antioxidant action.  Another great snack is nuts and seeds mixed with some fruit or algae -- good sources of protein, fiber, and antioxidants.
