Ankle soreness

When I was younger I was very active in all sports and had many sprains.  Now I have sore and stiff  ankles after I finish playing sports.  The moring after is lamost unbearable until I have moved around for awhile.  I did visit a doctor but he did not proivde much guideance.

So, I am reaching out to anyone that can provide some advice on how to get relief from this constant pain.

Thanks,

These seems like great suggestions.  I am vert sure I am not deficient in calcium.  I could lose about 50 pounds.  Is that enough weight to cause such pain after palying golf or tennis?  To me it seems as if the pain is due to bone on bone rubing.

Thanks

Hello.

One of the commonest reasons is a calcium deficiency. You can consult an orthopedic surgeon and screen for reduced bone density. If positive for that, you will benefit from calcium supplementation.

The ankles are high pressure joints. If your weight is slightly more than what it used to be, the ankles may start complaining.
