Peculiar Knee pain

I'm experiencing a sharp knee pain (left knee), to the side of joint (left side) when i kneel flush on my knee cap.
I've had water on the knee (right) many years ago which only occurred when i flew long distance.

When i press my knee cap, no pain, nor to the side, only seems to be on hard surfaces with my full weight.

Any thoughts, much appreciated.

I have the same type of pain.  Can't put any weight on the knee on the ground or I get a burning pain.  But the doctor said there is no tear but isn't tell me what it is instead.

hi all
i had the same pain . I play a lot of tennis and suddely one day when i was flat on my feet squat position i felt sharp pain.
i can run, jump and do everything except that.
after a lot of searching i think the issue is LCL i feel pain i press on outter side knees ..due to it not supporting the knees the bones when i bent is cuasing sharp pain. and unstable feeling.
LCL it is for me
