Wondering About MRI

Hi, I had what appreared to be a hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary.  It continued to grow with birth control pills.  So they did an MRI, my results are as follows, any input would be appreciated:

there is a 4.1x4.7x3.1 cm lesion as seen on series.  This lesion demonstrates septations with increased T1 and decreased T2 signal.  there is a focal 7 mm nodular area in the anterior aspect that demonstrates increased T2 with corresponding decreased T1 signal.,  This 7mm nodule does not enhance after the administration of gadolinium.  The entire lesion enhances avidly after the administration of gadolinium with signal intensity slightly increased as compared to adjacent uterus.  There is an inferior septation with smaller rounded areas.  No invasion of local pelvic stroma is appreciated.  Fluid noted within the endometrial canal.

A lot of medical jargon...any opinion will be appreciated.  This MRI was done last June...I never did the surgery, because I moved and didn't go to follow up.  Long story short...hoped it would go away.  Now it is still there and I have another ultrasound and new appts. but not until the 24th.  Probably nothing...but it does cause pain and bloating.

Thanks for the input.  My current Dr. has already referred me to my new obgyn.  I do an updated ultrasound prior to seeing him.  Will get it removed...want more kids ;) !!!

I would agree with Trudie. You really do need to take care of these .. Make sure you take the reports to your new Dr. I'm sure he'll be happy to explain ...Good luck

Sorry but I'm not an expert on reading these.  It does appear that you have complex cysts with septations.  These definitely need to be removed, especially since they have not resolved after all this time.
