Any information?

o: everyone
I Am going through the same thing right now, that I have read in a lot of storys though I am at the begining of my journey.  I am trying for the life of me to figure out what is going on I am 24. Had a complex ovarian cyst on the left 4cm. After a month or so I went back to the Emergency because of extreme abdominal pain like my insides were twisting up into knots. Lieing down with my kids in the evening I couldn't breath, there was so much pressure in my abdomen. At the hospital I told them about the cyst, they did blood test to see if I was pregnant ( not) I have an IUD. People seemed to suggest that it was gas. For three days after words very tender abdomen couldn't be touch as if I was bruised . Couldn't eat. Went for an U/S the following monday and the cyst was gone on the left side. and now I had one that was 2.6cm on the right. I am still waiting doctors apt. I have this fear that they are going to tell me that it is IBS. The inner voice in me has been telling me for the past two years that somehing is not right. Only now it is getting worse. I was so pissed when the cyst had gone on the left because I figured that I would get any answers now. Now I think that maybe ... is it possible that it was leaking into my abdomen and that's why all the twisting and pain? I had another that I am pretty sure burst about three months ago during Sex too. I am scared. Is it possible that I just produce these cyst that grow and grow until they pop.

Hi Morning Glory,
I see you found us over here.  Welcome.  = )

I answered over on the other post but will just say that lvfrogs has given good advise here.  Be glad that the one cyst is gone.  I know you feel as if your symptoms won't be taken seriously but if it were still there and growing you'd most likely be facing surgery.  Keep on the doctor if you don't feel satisfied with the answers you're given.

Take care!

You don't say how old you are, but if you are still having periods, then yes, you can be producing cysts regularly and yes, it is possible that the cyst burst and that is why you were in such extreme pain.  When you go to your doctor appt., tell him/her your concerns and all your symptoms, ask that they do a transvaginal ultrasound to take a good look inside and see what is going on.  Trust your inner voice and make sure that your doctor is listening to you.  Up on the right hand side of this page is the Health Pages where you can look up the information on cysts. I hope that helps. Let us know!
