ovarian cyst 15 mm

I am a 49 year old and just had a MRI done on my hip because of pain.  In the findings they found a 15 mm cyst - maybe ovarian? and fluid in the endomentrial cavity?  I have been having periods off an on and have not had one in over 30 days.
Any feed back on this.

Thank you,

Sounds like you may be in menopause. That's how it happened with me ... off and on, off and on, then miss one, then on, etc. I agree with Trudie .. the cyst could be there since you are still having your periods (although unregular) .

What is your Dr.s opinion??

Take care and keep in touch

Hi there.  Until we stop menstruating altogether we do create cysts as we ovulate.  Occasionally they don't resolve themselves and grow larger.  The size of the cyst they found is quite small.  However, the fluid could indicate that another has burst or a number of other things.  There is some additional information about cysts on the health pages (top right).  What is your doctor planning to do?
